It is sometime helpful to remember that emotions are a form of energy. If an emotion arises in us, it means we have it, we own it, we have created it either by a physical event, or by a thought or maybe because of a dream. It does not really matter how it was created but the fact is we have this strong energy/emotion within us and we have to elevate it, transform it and make it sacred.
If we put our attention on it and we accept and honor it, it disappears , it leaves us. It does not exist in its low vibration in which we perceive it as anger , jealousy, resentment, guilt or all of the uncomfortable heavy manifestation of it. Through movement and yoga (but not only, as I believe there are always many paths that lead to the same treasure) that emotion is transformed into a higher form of energy....the movement helps release the deep seated emotion and the awareness through the breath moves the energy upward and eventually utilizes in a more noble form.
